Kefalonia is one of the larger islands in Greece, and because of that, it has a lot to offer its visitors. Sure, there are busy areas to enjoy, but that’s not all the island has to offer. You can easily get lost here if that’s what you want to do. One thing that draws visitors here year after year are the island’s many beaches. Although there are beaches that certainly get busy, others, such as Trapezaki Beach, are a little more isolated. In fact, you should absolutely visit Trapezaki Beach during your time on the island. Getting to Trapezaki Beach
Before you can find your way to Trapezaki Beach, you need to first make your way to the island of Kefalonia. Since it is a large island, you have several options. The two most common are to either fly into the regional airport or take a ferry. Once you get to the island and settle into your hotel, you can make plans to visit the beach. Depending on where you are in the island, you can hire a taxi, take public transportation, or rent a car. The easiest option by far is to rent a car once you arrive on the island. The beach isn’t far from Argostoli, which is the main town on the island, so there will be a lot of options for you when it comes to getting yourself to that beach, especially if you’re staying in that area.
Why Visit Trapezaki Beach
One of the main reasons why you would want to visit this beach is because of how beautiful it is. Because it isn’t far from the main town, it isn’t completely isolated. However, this isn’t the most popular beach on the island so you can easily get some quiet time here. The beach is an attractions for both visitors to the island and locals, but those who do make their way here are looking for a much quieter experience than some of the other beaches on the island have to offer. It is also a haven for nature lovers since this beach is relatively unspoiled and not built up.
What to Do at Trapezaki Beach
As mentioned above, this beach is a haven for nature lovers. It’s also fairly isolated, but not so much that people don’t make there way here. There are some amenities located nearby to enjoy, such as a local taverna to get refreshment. However, you will need to bring your own supplies to this beach because there doesn’t appear to be chairs and sun beds to rent. You can enjoy a classic beach experience here lounging in the soft sand, soaking up the sun, and swimming in th warm waters.
