Rhodes is one of those islands in Greece that has mesmerized people for centuries. In fact, it is particularly atmospheric because there are remnants of its unique past that are still standing, such as the Acropolis of Lindos and the Palace of the Grandmasters. However, visiting historical landmarks and lounging on one of the island’s beaches isn’t all there is to do here. The interior of the island is equally as enchanting. Getting to Seven Springs on Rhodes
The Seven Springs is located near Archangelos, which is on the eastern side of the island. Before you can head here, though, you need to first make your way to the island itself. To do this, you can either take a ferry from elsewhere in Greece or you can take an airplane. The regional airport here regularly has flights from Athens and also from other places throughout Greece. There are a small number of flights that often come to Rhodes from outside of Greece, as well. Once you end up on the island, you can get settled in your hotel and head to Archangelos when you’re ready.
Traveling the Seven Springs
The Seven Springs is a natural area that is located on the eastern side of the island near the village of Archangelos. It is also referred to as Epta Piges in Greek, which does translate to “Seven Springs” in English. It is not only a place that is physically and naturally beautiful, but it is also considered to be an especially romantic place. So, if you have a loved one with you on the island, you should consider traveling here to soak up the romance and the beauty. This park is easily accessible from all the main points on the island since there is a road here. You can easily drive yourself but depending on where on the island you’re located, you might also be able to take a taxi or a bus. In fact, the park can be found in between two village – Colymbia and Archipoli.
What to Do in the Seven Springs
One thing that makes this park so breathtaking is the amazing scenery. There is plenty to see and do here since the park is located in a wooded area. You can easily have a picnic while you’re here, but you might also want to consider doing some hiking. There is a gorge that cuts its way through the park and there are waterfalls and springs throughout the property. This makes for an idyllic settings that you can enjoy during your stay on the island. Consider hiking through on of the many trails or just find a quiet spot to sit and relax and take it all in.
