You can get to Rhodes Island, Greece by plane from Athens, Thessaloniki, and many other locations. During the summer, flights from European countries are also available. The Rhodes International Airport is one of the four busiest airports in Greece. If you are arriving from Athens, the flight will take about 50 minutes. You can also get to Rhodes by ferry, though this is a much slower option. The ferry trip from Athens takes between 16 and 18 hours.
Once on the island of Rhodes there are many ways to get around. There is a local bus service, taxis, and cars available for rent. If you’re up for an adventure, you can rent a motorcycle. If you prefer to travel on your own time, renting a car or motorcycle is probably your best option.
