If you are coming from the capital city of Fira, it’s an even quicker drive. From Oia, you are looking at just a fifteen-minute drive. Cape Columbo is a long grey-black sandy (slightly pebbly) beach that is unorganized, so you will have to bring your own chairs or towels to sit on as well as other provisions such as food and water because there aren’t any places on site to get either. The landscape around the beach is breathtaking with the tall red rock formations, which were created by the wind and waves that are common to the area.
