Lindos Beach
Located in a small alcove just under Lindos Castle, this beach is fairly small. It is, however, a convenient choice for those who are spending time at Lindos. The fact that it is situated on a small bay, called Saint Paul’s Bay gives it an intimate and cozy feeling. There are plenty of beds here to lounge on and the shore is made of sand and not peddles, which adds to the enjoyment. Legend has it that Saint Paul landed here during his quest to spread Christianity to the rest of Greece.
Ladiko Beach
Ladiko is one of the most popular beaches on the island. Despite the fact that it is fairly small, there are always plenty of visitors here, especially during peak tourist season. People are drawn to this beach because of its stunning, wild scenery. It is also very close to Faliraki, which os one of the most popular resort towns on the whole island. This beach is perfect for those who love crowds!
Kallithea Beach
If you love hot springs, Kallithea Beach is a place you won’t want to miss! Many people who find their way to this beach do so because they’ve heard about the healing waters. Aside from that,this is also an extremely scenic and relaxing beach that also has a fairly wild appearance, thanks to its rocky shore. This is also the beach to go to if you love outdoor water sports and there is also a dive club here.
Tsambika Beach
Is your goal for sitting on the beach to enjoy the warm water and soak up the sun? If so, Tsambika Beach is the ideal spot for you! The warm Aegean water is made extra inviting by its deep turquoise color. There are some facilities directly at the beach, but in order for full services you will need to venture to the nearest village. This is the type of beach where you can lose yourself while soaking up the sun!
Afandou Beach
Afandou Beach is a hub of activity, especially in the height of summer. Because this beach has plenty of facilities, it is also especially common for people with large families. The beach is also long and sandy, which means that there is plenty of room for large numbers of people.
