Corfu is a popular Greek island that sees its share of visitors. It is especially known for its excellent beaches and beautiful resorts, but there are also plenty of other landmarks to see. According to the stories, the hero, Odysseus, was shipwrecked here. Now, people from all over the world have a chance to enjoy it. One of the places people love to visit is Aqualand, one of Greece’s best water parks. Here’s more information:

Getting to Aqualand

Before you can visit Aqualand, you need to first make your way to the island of Corfu. You can do so by taking a ferry, arriving on a cruise ship, or flying into the regional airport. Once you’re on the island, you’re free to head to the water park. It is especially easy to get to if you’re staying in the area around Corfu Town. The park is about 20 minutes away and can be accessed by rental car, public transportation, or taxi. The bus ride is around 20-minutes long, but you might be able to get there in less time if you drive.

About Aqualand

This park is on of those places that you really should find time to visit. As a water park, it can give you a whole neew experience and a fun way to enjoy the Greek sun. Aqualand started to be built  in 1995 and it officially opened sometime after that. It is important to note that they’re constantly adding new things in order to make things even more enjoyable. One of the latest additions is Aqualand Resort, an adjacent, all-inclusive apartment hotel. It’s open during the regular tourist season, which starts in the spring and ends sometime in October.

What to Do at Aqualand

Aqualand has something for the whole family, including attractions divided into a children’s area for ages 4 to 8, another for 8 and older, and an “extreme games” section for 12 and older. There are facilities there that also include a wet and dry bar, restaurants, spa, a boutique and a games arcade.

There are also activities for the whole family.  Here’s more information:

  • Small Children. Take the youngest visitors to one of two water playgrounds for hours of fun. The Caribbean Pirate area has easy water slides and showers, and secret paths to explore. Another shallow pool area has more water slides and a Fantasy Islands theme, with a Screaming Frog, Shower Mushroom and Slippery Octopus.
  • Older Children. Nine family areas for ages 8 and older allow hours of splashing and exploration. From Family Rafting and the Deep Blue Kayak area, to a Lazy River or a Crazy River, to the Black Hole, a variety of activities will challenge the imagination while you relax. Multi slides for six to eight people let you race your way to splashdown.
