Located 20 km from the capital village of Amorgos is Aegiali Beach. The Beach features soft sand, crystalline waters, and seaweed. The beach is narrow and quite a long at 1 km long. The beach is surrounded by greenery that enhances the beauty of the landscape. Along the beach there are pine trees that provide natural shade to beachgoers.
The shallow water of Aegiali Beach makes it an ideal beach destination for families with young children. The temperature of the water is mild, not too warm or too cold. There is a playground at the site of the beach. Aegiali Beach is home to cafes, taverns, and bars where visitors will find refreshing drinks and delicious meals and snacks. Aegiali Bay is home to a diving resort.

The diving center organizes three diving and snorkeling trips each day. There is also a night dive you can take part in.

If you’re staying in Katapola, you can take the bus to Aegiali Beach, which takes about 40 minutes. The trip is lovely as you can enjoy the passing landscape. You can rent a car in Katapola if you prefer to travel at your own pace. You can even drop off the car in Aegiali, though it will cost a bit extra if you do so.
