Greek Tomato Sauce With Cinnamon Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Greek olive oil
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 8 cups canned, diced tomatoes (with its juices)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Make Greek Style Tomato Sauce With Cinnamon:

Drizzle the olive oil into a saucepan and set the heat to medium.

Add the shallot and saute until soft. This should take about five minutes. Add the garlic and saute for another minute.

Stir in the diced tomato and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the cinnamon and cook for another minute.

Transfer the sauce to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
