Aromatic oranges and natural honey are found throughout Greece. They also complement each other very well. This traditional dessert is simple to prepare but packs a lot of flavor.
Portokali me Meli Recipe Ingredients:
- 2 medium oranges
- 1/3 cup sweet red wine, like Mavrodaphne
- 1/3 cup Greek honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup Greek yogurt, for serving (optional)
How to Make Oranges With Honey:
Peel the oranges and separate into sections. Arrange on a serving platter.
Drizzle the wine over the orange slices and then do the same with the honey. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Serve with Greek yogurt, if desired.
