Written by in , Comments Off on Recipe for Greek Fish Sauce

In Greece, fish is often brushed with olive oil and sprinkled with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. It is then roasted or grilled, and then finished with a lemony sauce. This sauce recipe is one of the many variations that you will find throughout Greece.

Greek Fish Sauce Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Greek olive oil
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Greek oregano
  • 1 teaspoon capers
  • 1 small, canned anchovy filet

How to Prepare Greek Fish Sauce:

Add all the ingredients to a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth.

Pour over seafood once it is removed from the grill, pan, or oven at a rate of about 1 tablespoon per piece of fish. You can also use this sauce as a seafood marinade or you can brush the fish with the mixture throughout the cooking process.
